The NANOSAT system is extremely easy to set up. All you need to do is connect the subwoofer and the satellites to the receiver and adjust the volume level of the subwoofer to meet your personal preference. The NANO SUB, available only in the pre-packed 5.1 NANOSAT system package, has no phase control or frequency control to worry about, as all the work has already been done by Mirage`s award winning engineers.
The NANO SUB`s 8-inch down-firing woofer features the revolutionary Ribbed Elliptical Surround technology exclusively available from Mirage. This technology eliminates surround distortions, allows for greater efficiency and enables the NANO SUB to play tremendously deep at high volume levels. Mirage`s new technological advancements, when combined with an internal Amplifier power of 75 Watts RMS, allow the NANO SUB to shake every living room, in a surprisingly musical fashion.

I've had these speakers for just over 6 months now and have found them to be adequate, but nothing special. I have them paired with a Pioneer VSX-19AHK receiver (Cnet's top choice for quite some time now) and haven't heard anything spectacular from these speakers. The subwoofer is probably the best part of the deal - it can definitely throw down. The speakers are small and I did get them for under $600 so that was nice, but they're still lacking in sound quality.
Primarily, the center channel just isn't there. I live in a 1000 sq/ft apartment with a fairly small living room and still find myself cranking up the volume on Blu-ray discs at times because the voices are washed out by the front speakers. I would definitely recommend getting a dedicated center channel on top of this package to see if it can do better. It's no surprise that there is actually a matching center speaker that you can buy separately - the Mirage Nanosat Cc Small High-Performance Center Speaker (High Gloss Black.
My other BIG complaint are the "mirage" stickers on each of the cube speakers. For this price, it would have been nice to get a quality emblem. Instead, you'll find that the "mirage" emblem is nothing more than a sticker. Within a couple of months, the corners of the stickers started lifting up and now some of them are all but falling off.
For $800, you can do more with your money.

They sound good, but I think you can get a better sounding set of speakers for less.

What a great 5.1 speaker set! The speaker set was $538.63 shipped. I was blown away with the sound of this very compact speaker set. Imaging was right on and the speakers being so small blend right into the room. I'm using a Denon receiver and the room is 10X20 and even the sub fills the room. For music or movies these little gems are the way to go. Electronics Expo had the best price with coupon code WS901X5750.

I needed to purchase a surround system for my daughter, who is away at college in Pennsylvania. Since I have had only good experiences with Denon receivers and Velodyne subs, and needed the total system to be small, I bought her a Velodyne Impact Mini subwoofer. I have the Denon AVR-4810ci receiver myself, but chose the AVR-1910 for her. The main speakers needed to be small but still sound good as she is spoiled to the core from listening to my equipment for many years. I chose the Mirage NanoSat System 5.0, which is newly un-tethered from their 75 watt sub, and was no match for the Impact Mini.(I am a loyal Electronics Expo customer and utilized my trusty coupon WS901X3807 for maximum discounting on everything.) In her small dorm, they seemed the perfect solution and I was happy to find they were as good as CNET said they were. The large image that the Nano's produced was nothing short of spectacular; it was truly immersive and that was just music. The Velodyne did not disappoint, as I knew already it would be fine. Coupled with the new Sony BDPS-470 Blu-ray, movies snapped and rumbled with authority, the system just impressing the heck out of us. Soon after finishing my set-up, a few collegians came by and gave the "thumbs up." Mission accomplished!

After using the Mirage speakers for hometheater and music listening, I have to give it high marks. I'm slightly hard of hearing and the clarity of the center and front speakers have helped my listening considerably. The hometheater experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The omnipolar speakers and the subwoofer fill my 20ft x 20ft with a 17 ft cathedral ceiling with sound that imerses you in the action of movies your viewing. I was concerned that the small speakers wouldn't be adequate for our family room because of its size however, the fact that they are omnipolar seems to have made the difference.
